They’ve been all over the place since releasing their debut album The Bones of What You Believe almost a year ago and are ready for one last leg of shows before taking things home for the remained for 2014.
Frontwoman Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty, the two men behind the beats of CHVRCHES, have seen the hype grow, the tours get longer, the venues get bigger, the festival sets get later since releasing the trio of catchy tunes “The Mother We Share,” “Recover,” and “Gun” leading up to the release of their debut record.
Currently finishing up their summer festival stint (which will see them play Reading, Leeds, and Bestival on English soil), the Scottish trio will head Stateside for a lengthy September and October tour.
The good news is, as of yesterday, Chvrches have confirmed plans to finish off their 2014 tour schedule with five more UK shows (plus Paris’ Pitchfork Festival sandwiched in between).
They’ll play London’s O2 Academy Brixton on October 30th, a hometown gig at the Barrowlands in Glasgow on November 3rd, Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on the 5th, the Manchester Academy on the 6th, as well as closing out the Liverpool Music Week on the 1st of November.
Tickets for these show go on sale Friday, August 15th at 9 AM for the reasonable price of $20.25 (in London + service fees).
Also, we have recently discovered that listening to Chvrches’ “Lies” on repeat all morning is MUCH more effective than drinking coffee.
